The KiltWalk – karmic balancing gifts!!

as i mentioned in a previous post, i’m going to be doing The KiltWalk in april as part of a team fundraising for Hearing Dogs UK.  since the size of our team has grown, we’re now aiming to raise £3000 – and thanks to some lovely, generous folk, we’re already nearly a third of the way there!

to say thank you – and offer some added incentive to donate! – i’m going to be sending out some “karmic balancing gifts” to a few randomly selected donors.  since the pile of gifts is starting to grow, i thought it would be a good idea to collect them all in one post, so you can see what you might be lucky enough to be gifted if you donate to our fundraiser!

i’ll add new gifts to the top of this list as they’re collected, and mark them as already gifted & move them to the bottom of the list as i hand them out.  to be in the running for a karmic balancing gift, please head over to my original KiltWalk post to find out what you need to do!!  don’t forget, you need to comment on my original KiltWalk post so i know you’ve donated!!!

pilfered from my very own stash, a gorgeous skein of Fleece Artist Sea Wool in a beautiful shifting pewter/slate gray – 70% merino & 30% seacell, with 350m/112g, this would knit a lovely scarf or shawl.

also pilfered from my own stash, three skeins of Tryskelion Yarns “emrys” lace, a 100% bluefaced leicester laceweight with 800 metres per 100 gram skein.  pictured left to right in “graphite”, “landwight”, & “woodcutter”, three lucky people will each get one skein from this photo!

the explorers club

and last of the newly added gifts, but certainly not least, is a sweaters’ worth (four skeins!) of the OMA superwash merino 4ply in last month’s 2015 club-exclusive colourway “the explorers club”.

CoopKnits prize bundle

already gifted!!!  generously donated by CoopKnits, her entire collection of sock knitting books!  all three books, filled to the brim with gorgeous sock patterns, will be heading out soon to one lucky donor.  i’ll also throw in a skein of OMA superwash merino sock yarn in your choice of colourway so you can cast on straightaway!!

wollmeise laceweight

already gifted!!!  pilfered from my own yarn stash, i’ve managed to bring myself to give away one of my prized skeins of Wollmeise laceweight, in colourway “spice market”.  (full disclosure – i had planned to knit with this & wound it into two roughly equal cakes then changed my mind!  i’ve rewound it into skeins for easier postage so you’ll receive two smaller skeins instead of the single giant skein pictured).

ripplescrafts laceweight

already gifted!!!  also pilfered from my own stash, a beautiful skein of RipplesCrafts alpaca/silk/cashmere laceweight – look at those colours!!!

rarest orchid

already gifted!!!  how about a sweater’s worth of OMA merino sock yarn, in the 2015 club-exclusive colourway “rarest orchid”?  i have four skeins of this to give away!

already gifted!!!  want to come along to Edinburgh Yarn Fest in march?  i have two free tickets for a lucky donor…
